Williamson Road . Roanoke
I admit it, I love Arby's. I know it's not cool to admit to ever eating at a fast food place but I do love me some Arby's. And I do love this vintage sign! I remember as a kid going to Arby's with my mom to pick up my dad's lunch. He was in the Navy and we'd run it over to him somewhere on base...32nd Street, San Diego. I'm a purist when it comes to Arby's...a regular roast beef sandwich, lots of Arby's sauce and potato cakes...yum! Linking with Signs, Signs
Can't remember where this is exactly but it's pretty much a familiar scene anywhere around here! Linking with Good Fences

I love Arby's too... enough though I haven't managed to visit one for about 20 years. Great looking sign!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever eaten at Arby's. But I love that sign!
ReplyDeleteMint shake, ugh!
ReplyDeleteThe first area McDonalds was located beside that Arby's and it was one of the ones where the arches went across the building. That area was kind of the edge of town back in the 60s and Hollins was a separate area that had some fields between it and Roanoke.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm hungry. Nice memory Tanya.
ReplyDeletePretty place wherever it is:) Hug B
I think the fence might need a bit of work but it is a good shot.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I like that last mysterious photo, what a lovely view. I'm also a fan of their roast beef sandwich with Horsey sauce! The secret is in the sauce, always. It's one of my special treat places, every now and then.
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite Arby's, too. I much prefer Arby's to other fast food places.
ReplyDeletei love the old Arby's sign. you don't see many more like that any more ... kind of sad when it come to people like me who loves awesome dated old vintage kind of sign. have a great day!! ( :
ReplyDeletefast food may not be cool but it sometimes it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like the Arby's sign but I think their meat is too salty.. Great fence shot. Have a happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteThe Arby's sign is great! I guess I never did like their sandwiches. Only ate at one once. I like the fence photo. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI like that fence :)
ReplyDeleteAnd there's nothing wrong with some fast
food every once in a while ;)

Maybe a little repair work due on the fence?
ReplyDeleteThat is a great vintage sign!
ReplyDeletehaven't eaten at arby's in probably 25 years. :) love the light in the 2nd shot! thanks, tanya!
ReplyDeleteI like an Arby's every now and then, too. My downfall is Hardee's Thickburgers!
ReplyDeleteThat fence shot has an old feel to it that I like.
Arby's here is a rarity. I remember one in a mall not far where I grew up, but if it's still there, I have no idea. I really like the mood in that second shot!
ReplyDeleteWe love Arbys too! and we are lucky enough to have one just a few blocks away. We just tried their fish sandwiches and they are soo good, with a big oval bun and lots of shredded lettuce. I had forgotten about the big hat! And never even noticed when they removed it. Now I'm trying to think if anything is in it's place.
ReplyDeleteAlways loved the Arby's sign. However, never, ever have I ever pulled into an Arbys. Kinda strange, huh.
ReplyDeleteI like the old fence! And I love Arby's roast beef sandwiches. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever been in an Arby's either.
ReplyDeleteI like Arby's myself. My favorite there though is (seasonal) The Chicken Pecan Salad sandwhich or wrap. Cool old sign.
ReplyDeleteNeat fencing, I like weathered fencing like that.
There aren't many Arby's around here. But I do like stopping occasionally when we travel. I guess so long as it's not the only thing in the diet, it's okay now and then. Why not? That is a cool sign and a beautiful old fence.
ReplyDeleteArby's roast beef with horsy sauce...yum!
ReplyDeleteLove that second photo.
