There was an old store not much bigger than this not far from my dad's farm when I was growing up. The couple that ran the store lived in 2 rooms in the back! Sadly, the place was torn down a few years ago, but I did get some pictures before that happened. I wish I had some photos of it in it's heyday, but no one thought to take them back then. That structure doesn't look all that old as things go so I am not sure if it would have been a cabin. That is an interesting area and I have always been puzzled about the location of the original valley road through there. If you look over the hill toward Hollins, there is a cemetery that might have been located along the road at one time. If so then the original intersection would have been up behind this store. I know that the railroad that was going to be built was back that way and would have gone through the Hollins campus, I believe one of the streets is actually the railroad bed that never was completed. There is probably someone who has the answer but not me this time.Sunnybrook Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18135224259672444423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6640847503018468156.post-73153488747579807562015-09-22T12:17:30.382-04:002015-09-22T12:17:30.382-04:00A very interesting time out, and such a great myst...A very interesting time out, and such a great mystery to solve.
