Van Halen!
Last night, Nick and I went to the Van Halen concert at the
Gwinnett Center We had gone the first time they came to Atlanta a few months back, I believe it was in February. They had scheduled in another show so we quickly bought tickets since we had such a blast at the first one! The second show was cancelled, due to Eddie Van Halen being hospitalized for some unknown reason and was finally on last night. They rocked! This show was even better than their first show here.
It was such an awesome show, and fun to be transported for the evening to the days of my youth. Most of the fans were my age, or right around, and I think we all felt like we were back in high school for a while!
The band looks and played awesome! Go see them if they are in your town, or nearby. You won't be let down!
We had great tickets, floor seats, about 10 rows back. I wish my pictures were better but it was hard to focus well, holding a beer and jumping around! In all I took 209 pictures of the night! I'll eventually get them all on flickr for you to see!

I remember the energy coming out from their song "JUMP!" ...
ReplyDeleteLive music is always a winner for me. These are images are brimming with energy. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThey played twice in Dallas, I didnt get to go either time. Their old music does remind me of high school and working at the drive in. Great shots.

ReplyDeletevoila un concert qui nous rajeunie pas, je savais pas qu'il continuait a faire des concerts. cela devait ĂȘtre super.
ReplyDeletethis is a concert that we not rejuvenated, I knew that he continued to do concerts. it should be super.
I must say, I miss Diamond Dave's hair and spandex. We never seem to own up to THAT part of our musical past.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you enjoyed the concert! Good for you for going!
ReplyDeleteBeer and camera is an interesting combination -:) Not all that uncommon in the circles I travel at times, though. Sounds like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fantastic evening! Glad you had time for a beer and a jump around while taking all those photos!
ReplyDeleteEhm... I'm sorry but unfortunately I don't know Eddie Van Halen. BTW I love the new photo on your profile :-)

ReplyDeleteSounds like you really got to rawk out. The photos are great.
ReplyDeleteWOW! wish I had been there. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I used to have all their albums, (yes, I am that old), but many, along with my Led Zeppelin albums were lost, stolen, or forgotten at many of the various parties I attended. 1984 was our swan song as we left H.S> that year.
