Roanoke Regional Airport

This here is the Roanoke Regional Airport. I had to drop my husband off yesterday. It's much easier than using Hartsfield in Atlanta. I always dreaded having to do drop offs and pick ups there. I was impressed with the architecture of this small-ish airport, very stylish!

On our way home, I pulled next to a man at a red light. He was getting a tongue lashing from the man in the truck on his other side. The truck driving man actually jumped out of his truck and was yelling at this man next to me. I couldn't believe it. I was getting nervous stuck in traffic next to this crazed person with my kids in the car that I was getting ready to call 9-1-1. Fortunately the psychotic man got in his truck and drove away. The man next to me looked over at me like "did you see that guy" and we both started laughing...ahhhh tis the season!

  6. Wow that's scary. You never know what people will do when they lose control. I'm scared to even blow my horn at anyone these days.

  7. What a scary experience! After moving from the east, I find the mid-west people much more relaxed and not as stressed out as some back east. But, that kind of conduct can show up no matter where we live.

  10. Hey Tanya,
It is so good to hear from you again.
So...how do you like Virginia compared to Georgia? Besides the airport dropoffs..lol..I would be scared to death to drive in Atlanta now. After living in the country so long and seeing one or two cars on the highway, ....big difference.
Hope you and your family are well.

  11. Freaks!!! Isn't it awful that people can't watch what they do because you never know when kids are around - not to mention that they're just totally making an a$$ of themselves!

  17. I much prefer smaller airports. But living near Toronto I have no choice but to use a BIG one.

  18. I spent a summer living in Lewisburg, WV, and dropped my husband off at the Roanoke airport a few times. It was just the right size, not too big and not too small! I think we stayed at a nearby hotel as well. Very convenient.

  19. Great little airport. We try to use the Long Beach airport which is still nice & small, whenever possible.
Those encounters are so disturbing - even when just being a bystander. I cannot imagine what can be so bad to get so angry. Glad yours ended with a laugh.
