Exit 162, Buchanan

Sad old abandoned farmhouse, right off the exit.

13 more school days. Almost summer!

  1. The trees in the background look like overgrown weeds, adding to the look of abandonment.
Today is the last day for students here!

  2. Tanya, don't tell the kids here. They have to wait until mid July and then only 6/7 week vacation time. Love your photo...nice secluded place.

  3. I wonder how happy the house would look if someone cleared away a few trees and fixed it up. Nice catch!

  4. Actually, it doesn't look that bad to me. Would be a nice secluded retreat.

  7. A fine shot of this old place nestled in the trees. A fine "find" to post.

  8. I'd love to fight my way through the trees/brush and explore that place. Looks wonderful. I hope that it doesn't remain abandoned. It looks like there's furniture or something in that upstairs window. Perhaps just things left behind.

  10. No summer holiday here for schoolkids until the beginning of July! And no sad old farmhouses hiding in lush spring green either.

  14. It's being swallowed up! I'd like to live there, though.

  16. I wouldn't say it's dilapidated, but it is in need of some tender loving care! Nice find. My Rurality: http://lauriekazmierczak.com/abstract/
