Friday Night Lights
Last night we had a great time at the high school football game. Our Lord Botetourt Cavaliers vs Brookville (have no clue who and where they are from since we're new here!) but by halftime, when we left, our Cavs weren't doing so well. I tried to find the score online this morning but nothing is up yet. But all in all, we had a super fun time, although it's hard not to have fun at the games!
I took Ashlyn and Christian a little early and dropped them off so they could meet up with friends. Then Nick and I brought Braden and Dalton and met up with their team. During half time, they announced all the rec teams and they got to walk out on the field and the cheerleaders through candy at them. MY 3 boys were busy trying to gather as much candy as their little hands would carry!
We left shortly after so I could get my littlest football players to bed as they have a game this morning and then Christian has one this afternoon. The weather will be warm and sunny, if not a bit too hot!
Have a great day!
Oh, I forgot to mention, during the game there was a bit of a scare. One of the refs got ran over, full force by a player. I didn't see what happened but looked when the ref was laying flat out on the ground, on his stomach, not moving. I heard the football player's helmet hit the refs head. He layed there for minutes it seemed, very still. Then he finally, very shakily was able to get to his feet with some help. I sure hope he is doing ok this morning!
Oh looks like a fun evening, T!
ReplyDeleteL & S heard from our neighbor girl on the bus about the football game last night and they wanted to go so badly! I know we should've checked it out, but it doesn't start until 7 p.m. and we're already getting ready for bed at that time.
I suppose I should lighten up on the bedtimes on Friday's, but being that they just started Kindy and going to school everyday, by Friday's, they are wiped out! Maybe homecoming!
Have a great weekend!
Definitely football season! I love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHello Tanya !

Nice shhots !
Those boys are such charmers...How much cuter can they get;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like there was a bit more excitement at the game than you were looking for. Sure hope everyone is all right.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to go to your kids' games!
The boys looked like they were having fun - too cute! Unusual to see a ref get hurt so badly. Hopefully he's okay...
ReplyDeleteHi. I have just found your blog via SAKIWI in Hamilton, NZ. You appear to be my kind of blogger. All the best and I will try to keep in touch. Cheers, Dave
