Seems that now since the weather is getting colder, our squirrels are out in full force! Braden and Dalton have named them the "Evil Squirrels" because in the summer time, the walnuts start falling out of the trees and the boys are convinced it's the works of the Evil Squirrels, throwing walnuts at us!

Very cute about the evil squirrels. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love little Red Squirrels. They are so industrious. Nice picture!
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels here are evil... and ugly too. When we lived in Maryland there were black squirrels.... they had a little more class than Blue Ridge Mountain squirrels...
ReplyDeleteCute photo. Love squirrels from afar. They can get destructive too.
ReplyDeleteHappy skywatching.
What a cute skywatch. I miss squirrels. None on the island.
ReplyDeleteLol! Evil squirrels! This is a great sky watch, diffferent to the norm :)
ReplyDeletegotta admit, if I had a gun that critter would make some good eating!
ReplyDeleteThere all lots of people that would say their squirrels are all crazy!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same evil squirrels here. They throw pecans at us.
ReplyDeleteThey are right: squirrels can be evil. Here in Pasadena and in our local mountains, they will drop pine cones, small branches and anything else to keep you away from THEIR tree.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are so funny. I love the little tales you share with us about your family's comings and goings. And the picture is nice too. ;)
ReplyDeleteles écureuils n'ont plus beaucoup de feuilles pour se cacher. un beau ciel.
ReplyDeletesquirrels do not have many leaves anymore to hide. a nice sky.
Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteHa-Ha -- I bet your boys are right. Very cute little guy, munching away.
ReplyDeleteLovely composition! Shame we don't have squirrels around here...
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for the SkyWatcher!
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel is very picturesque, and I love its furry tail :)
That's a cute story about the "evil squirrels"....you've given me a smile to start my day!
ReplyDeleteI too have evil squirrels. I finally found a squirrel proof bird feeder though, so I don't mind them as much. There is a place here where you can walk through the woods and see white squirrels. They are kind of interesting.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are right, squirrels ARE evil! Tree rats, I call them. They do throw stuff, and they pick fights with pets, or at least they used to pick fights with my cat when I lived in Kansas. We don't have tree squirrels in San Diego, not that I've seen. Just nasty ground squirrels and lots and lots and lots of gophers!
ReplyDeleteNeat pick of this little guy in the tree, though. From afar, I guess they are kind of cute. haha
I'd imagine attending a college with a big veterinary medicine school will sour you on squirrels. Too many stories from classmates about having to put down family pets after they were bitten by rabid squirrels.
We didn't have a lot of squirrels on the trails this year. No idea where they all went, but it might have something to do with all the poor starving stray cats that are around.
ReplyDeleteEvil squirrels! It's a strange idea to a French person because here, the squirrels are so wild and shy, we are always happy to see one of them...
ReplyDeleteYour twins seem to be so far from this, so "good boys" on this photo! I can guess it is not always true ;-))
South Pas is loaded with squirrels -- due to the huge amount of trees here. Our old oak has fattened up dozens of the little guys, who sit outside my upstairs bathroom window and chee chee chee at me when I'm getting ready in the morning. (Until they're chased away by divebombing wild parrots. That's something to see!)
ReplyDeleteOne of them is missing a tail and my little girl is always worried when she sees that particular one. The other say she asked me if we could get the squirrel another tail at Target! :-)
I'm quite nostalgic about squirrels. Where I come from they were red, in Montreal they were grey and in Kingston Ont. they were black, but all of them were just soooo cute.
ReplyDeleteReally nice shot.
