My Snowy House

Welcome to my house:

Let's sit out on the back porch and watch the snow fall!

The kids have a 2 hour delay this morning so the boys are up bright and early to get some snowboarding in before school. It was cold overnight again, in the single digits so I'm sure the roads are icy, hence the school delay. The snow is melting fast though!

  5. I like your Home. Very nice. It snowed up here, also. It's darn cold, too. In the single digits. Brrrr! Snow is melting which is good. Looking to Spring, soon.

    Stay well and warm.

  7. What a beautiful home and setting. I love it all laced up in snow. When was the house built? And who was Col. Sperry?

  8. Bratt, the house was built in 1860 by Col. Sperry. His family lived here until he died in the late 1890's. My neighbor's ex mother in law lived here from the 40's through the 90's.
The Sperry's had a family reunion last October and they toured our house. It was really neat!

  9. Tanya... the front of your house deceives us as to it's large size... I can tell by the back that it's huge!

Snow should begin to melt today with the warmer temps arriving.

  24. Snow is pretty - but I'm looking forward to spring. I like your house and the history sounds fascinating. I lived in Virginia Beach for a while and was always fascinated with the history in Virginia.
