The boys and I had some errands to run after they got home from school on Monday and because I was in need of some barns for Barn Charm I grabbed my camera and planned to find a few after we finished. The road where this barn sits is Shaver's Farm Road in Fincastle. It's only about 5-10 minutes from my house but I have never taken that road till then, always meant to but always in too much of a hurry. So glad we did. It's a very picturesque road with a few nice barns along the way. There was a great old barn right when we turned onto the road but I wasn't prepared when I saw it so I'll have to go back and get a photo of it :)
And you know, I'm linking up with Barn Charm of course!
Très charmant~ :)

Very nice picture - it's always great to find a new local place to visit isn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteIt is really a unique way to set a wedding in a barn. I like the place.
ReplyDeleteYay! I love seeing our area through your eyes.

ReplyDeleteI like the composition of the shot, with the green leaves in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of this barn. I love the weathered look.
ReplyDeleteLove the filtering green leaves...
ReplyDeleteI always see these great barns by the side of the road, but we can't stop for pictures. This one today reminds me of one of those. :) Love the faded color and the fact that it's such a traditional "barn" (you know what I mean!).
ReplyDeletenice shot w/ the tree framing it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love barns like that. So nice.
ReplyDeleteI love the old weathered red barns! Like how you set this shot up!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot, Tanya! Love the peeling paint!
ReplyDeleteI like the screen of leaves in front of this barn. An appealing image with its weathered paint.
ReplyDeleteTanya, I love the view of this barn through the trees!
ReplyDeleteNice shot of this barn through the trees! I love when I finally go down a road I have been wanting to go down and be rewarded with some awesome barns! What a rush!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cool red barn, love all that green & esp love how you framed it w/ the branches!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining, Tanya! =)
Picturesque indeed. Beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteI like these colors and the angle here.
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn’t shock me in the least if one day I read in your blog that you all had moved to Fincastle. I love all of the pictures you take there. It is a lot closer to you all than to us, darn it! Love the red barn hidden in the trees and bushes. It surely could use a paint job.genie
ReplyDeleteha genie, i would love to but my kids would possibly have to change schools, depending on how far in we were! i'd love to be right downtown though in one of those great historic houses....the outskirts of fincastle is only about 5 mins from though! but i also love lexington!
DeleteNice barn...wish it were in my neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteI like the looks of this charming red structure. Is there a winery nearby? ;-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a find! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like the size and shape of it and the fading red. From what I can see through the trees, it appears to be an active one, which is always nice to find. Wonderful find.:>)
ReplyDeleteA really nice find there. I love the colours in the photo.
