Friday Fences

Taken along Glebe Road, Daleveille, Va

Yesterday after dropping Ozzy off at the new kennel for a couple of hours, Ashlyn and I went in search of lunch. We ended up at The Great 611 Steak Company. It was pretty good and we had a lot of fun laughing with each other, like we usually do. After lunch we had to head back over to the kennel and see how Ozzy did. I was so happy to hear that he fit in well and got along great with the other dogs. I've been in need of a good kennel for those times we want to get out of town!

The boys started football practice last night and it went pretty well. Now after a nice lazy summer we are back to a pretty busy routine with football practices 4 nights a week, but I do love it!

Christian just got his first job at our local Kroger. Tomorrow morning I take him in for training. He's pretty excited. Going to start saving all that money up for a car!

Linking up with Friday Fences ....Have a great weekend :)

  15. It's those deep woods that draw me in. I don't see sights like this very often out West.

  17. Such a peaceful place! I'm glad you found a nice place to take your Ozzy. It's so difficult when you aren't comfortable being able to leave them - a nice kennel makes all the difference for them. :)

  20. Another great fence! Glad Ozzy loved his new kennel. We had an English Springer Spaniel years ago that was crazy about her kennel. When we would arrive there she would become very excited. I think she loved the attention she got plus the other dogs to play with. One day I was taking her there and I had her leash tied around the door handle on the back seat of the car and the window rolled down partway. As we entered the parking lot and she saw where we were, she became so excited she actually put her front paws through her chain choke collar and dove out the window! Since the collar was tied to the door, she was hanging there with the choke collar around her HAUNCHES! I have never laughed so hard in my life. I was trying to get her free and she was just hanging there by her hips with just her front feet on the pavement. :-) We were always glad she was so happy to go, but learned our lesson about the window!

  21. It looks as though one of the trees is about to lean back against the fence, and I love those outstretched roots.
