Friday Fences

This type of fencing is called a wattle fence. It is constructed by weaving flexible green saplings between posts. This wattle fence is in the Monacan Indian Village at Natural Bridge.

  8. Wonder if the Indians were the original "wattlers"? I've seen this type of fence in historic villages and in Sweden--and Ireland. Love how it looks as a decorative fence for flower or vegetable gardens
