Black&White Watery Wednesday - Roanoke River
Roanoke River Greenway. Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital straight ahead. Ashlyn parks in the parking garage to the right and crosses that little bridge over the river to get to work.
Got home yesterday to Ozzy running up to the car. He was in his yard when I left but got out somewhere. One of the neighbors came by later in the day to ask me if I was going to start letting Ozzy run loose. Me: "Of course not"! His wife was walking their dog and Ozzy scared her pretty bad. Told me Oz was really pretty far out in the neighborhood just having a great time roaming around. So this weekend guess we'll be fixing the fence in his yard. It's always somethin' isn't it?
Linking to Watery Wednesday which doesn't go live till tonight.
Beautiful scene I love the black and white. Bad Ozzy Bad. B
ReplyDeleteRascal Ozzy. Nice of your neighbor to put the guilts on you like that. Real nice. :P
ReplyDeletelol yeah, i was a little embarrassed for having an unruly dog :D but i was happy to find out what oz had been doing because i wasn't sure if he got out and just stayed in the yard since he was there when i got home, or if he'd been out and about. guess i know now! he was telling me though that a few months back she had been out walking our neighborhood (she walks every day with their dog) and another neighbor's dog was out loose and attacked her. she needed 22 stitches on her face. wow, how scary that must have been. i can imagine that coming back to her when ozzy came running up scaring her.
DeleteNice view across the river. Good luck keeping Ozzy inside a fence!
ReplyDeleteyeah, now that he's had his taste of freedom, it will probably be a challenge, gah!
DeleteLooks great in black and white.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! I pass by there often when I'm running on the greenway.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome shot!

I really like this black-and-white photo. I hope Ozzy enjoyed his romp through the neighborhood -- it sounds as if that will be his last for a while.
ReplyDeleteOoh it looks cold to be out mending fences. Great name for your dog! Thanks, Tanya, for the comment today...I am amazed about that film being banned in USA.
ReplyDeleteYour watery Wednesday picture is very good. I liked hearing how this scene relates to Ashlyn's daily life. Ozzy is a smart dog to be back home when you arrive! :-)
ReplyDeletereally nice shot. shame on ozzy!
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous scene and b&w shot - Ozzy sounds like he enjoys running about:) Good luck with the fence!
ReplyDeleteLove the trees and the leading lines of the fence on the left! The bridge in the background is nice, too!
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white reflections on the water! I guess Ozzy was having a good time meeting all the neighbors ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe Holga works wonders!
ReplyDeleteOH-OH! Sounds like Ozzy was having way too much fun, wasn't he?
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteNice one Tanya.
ReplyDeleteI really like this in black and white and the reflection of the bridge in the water!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shot Tanya!
ReplyDeleteI like everything about this - the tones, the reflection, the composition - well done!
I'm wondering why your neighbor didn't try coaxing Ozzy back where he should be. :)
So sorry about Ozzy, the lil stinker! But the b&w WW shot is beautiful... the river & reflection of the bridge in the water is really beautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you =)
Beautiful spot! Good luck with your new fencing endeavors. Dogs keep us on our toes!
