SkyWatch Friday Fences - Andy Griffith House

This was Andy Griffith's home in Mt. Airy 1935 - 1966. You can rent this to stay in. It was available on the day we were there. Nick was going to book it but Christian had to be back up here for work on Saturday morning, darn! How neat would that have been?

Linking with Friday Fences and SkyWatch Friday

Have a great weekend :)

  2. What a fun idea! Looks like a real cute place! I loved Andy Griffith and once waited on him when I was very young and worked in the Hilton Hotel in Tucson. He was filming a movie at 'Old Tucson'. My tiny brush with fame. :) oh, and he was very polite. xx

  4. That would be cool to stay there! It's not often you find a famous home that you can actually rent.

  7. Families sure used to live in much smaller houses. Makes me want to throw away a bunch of stuff and downsize.

  8. NO! NO! NO! I will not allow it!!! I have been to Mr. Airy so many times and have seen it all over and over again. That is where a group of us old friends used to gather every summer for a weekend of fun and sharing. genie

  10. Is that what is called a clapboard house - such a modest little place. Interesting post.

  13. Cute house, but it could sure use some jazzing up, like some pretty flowers up the walkway. Just saying. LOL

  22. This is too cool! I hope you get to do it next time. I read recently that his wife was selling off one of his old houses. I hope it isn't this one!
