Virginia Tech - Burruss Hall

Burruss Hall's original building was completed in 1936. Other wings have since been added. Named after eighth president Julian Ashby Burruss. You can read more HERE.

The buildings on campus are built using "Hokie Stone", a limestone that comes from Virginia Techs own quarry. You can read more about that RIGHT HERE and HERE.

Here's a few more angles of this beautiful building:

Have a great weekend! We're in for some winter weather, mostly ice it looks like. Not happy about that at all. We've had super nice weather this week and now of course the weather turns bad for the weekend and we have some pretty fabulous plans for it too darn it!

  2. I love the look of it, even more special that the stone was quarried locally. Most of our stone buildings also was built from local quarry materials, but the quarry is now long closed. Stay safe in the wintry weather, I hear it could get bad!

Stay safe in the weather this weekend. We're looking for ice around here, too. Not too happy about it, but nothing I can do about it.
