Right Now

This is what it looks like here at my house, this very second! It started snowing about a half hour ago and according to the weatherman, we may end up with 3-5 inches of this stuff before the day is done! Of course we got a snow day, yay!

“Snow flurries began to fall and they swirled around people's legs like house cats. It was magical, this snow globe world.”
― Sarah Addison Allen, The Sugar Queen

  4. We don't have quite as much on the ground here yet, but it's flurrying all over the place. The boys were so happy to have a snow day. We're going to make cookies :-)

  5. I never minded snow
    When it came falling down
    And covered all the earth
    With white upon the brown.

But when it turned to slush
    To deadly, icy mush
I said I'll wait the thaw
    In Ocala, Florida.

  6. You ain't seen nuthin' 'til you've experienced a Midwest winter. Snow has piled up, evolved into tired looking gray, chunky piles with slippery ice patches on roads and pathways, and our current temp is now a toasty −14F.

  8. Nice shot!

Our snow has firmly established itself and continues to accumulate. It won't go away until well into April.

  10. Love the quote! It snowed here yesterday and the wind had the snow swirling around like that. Show us a picture after it's done snowing.
