ABC Wednesday - E*&*%$ What?

Found on an old pump house along the Percival's Island trail in Lynchburg.

As I sit here getting this post ready for Wednesday (it's Tuesday evening) they are calling for snow tomorrow, lots and lots of snow. (E)pic amounts of snow (see what I did there? I used the letter E again ;) !) We may get 10+ inches. Supposed to start tomorrow (Wed) afternoon and continue through till Thursday. I'm pretty excited. We all are! We haven't had snow like this since we first moved here a few years ago. It tricked us. I thought all winters were like that. NOT...sooo...we are anxiously awaiting to see what happens. School has already decided to dismiss 2 hours early. I've got a few goodies to pick up at Kroger so we can be fat and happy and snowed in. We just had some more wood delivered in case we lose power...cross those fingers that we don't! I'll keep you abreast of the situation as it unfolds!

Linking with ABC Wednesday for the letter E! :)

  1. Very thought provoking! Hope the snow forecast turns out to be nowhere near as bad as they are saying it will be. Here, it's just rain, rain, rain and more rain... with a little hail tossed in all whipped up by 80mph winds!

  2. "east" ? It's an interesting wall... too bad some poorly raised kid (I presume) decided to ruin it. I appreciate "good" graffiti (it looks better after than before), but this is what I would call vandalism. Anyway, good luck with the snow. If you have any extra, send it over.

  3. It's really nice of you Americans to take all the snow away from us Canadians. Thank you.

  5. Good luck! This would be the winter I'm stuck with half a snow shovel. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to lay about and watch movies and read books all day. :-)

  7. I think that I saw that building but it looked different, I was over there before they did so much work. I was at the battleax festival a couple times, that was interesting.
I managed to stay away from the grocery store yesterday and we should be ready other than bringing in two more wheelbarrows of wood which I will do before going to work.

  8. I am interested in observing how excited you are about getting a snowfall. For those of us who "enjoy" this as a routine winter, we are tired of it already!! I hope you stay warm and safe during this unusual occurrence!

  9. Good luck stocking up! I'm also one of those tired of this crazy winter, lol! But cocoas, warm fires and snow angels are such a fun side of winter:))

  10. have fun with the snow!

when i looked at the graffiti, i thought it said 'east' but the pacman/fortune cookie doesn't quite make an 's'. but the arrow started out pointing east. :)

  11. Sounds like you will be well prepared for the snow. Enjoy!

I'm not sure about the graffiti, but it looks like they might be trying to say "East".
I don't know what else it could be, maybe someone will figure it out!

  15. I remarked today to someone about the snow in the South, how what for us would be just another snowfall or winter storm system can wreck havoc with things in your area and even further south.

Make sure you've got hot chocolate on hand!

  18. Not sure I'd call this art. Maybe it was just somebody with an urge to communicate?
