Monday Murals @ The Greenbrier

Not really a mural but a photo curtain? It caught my attention as we were walking through The Greenbrier. I tried to find out who the couple is. Probably should have read that plaque that is to the right. Oh well.

  5. This is totally cool and I would love to have my picture taken in front of it. Our kids go to the Greenbrier about once a year and they love it. Even our little granddaughter likes it, she likes having their teas.

  7. That is a very different kind of canvas, yes. Oh well, we don't always think to look at the plaque.

  8. It looks like Edward VIII of Great Britain who abdicated his throne to marry Mrs. Simpson, the lady by his side later to become the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

  13. Well, The Duke and Duchess of Windsor were frequent guests at the Greenbrier, so your commenters may have that right.

  14. That's an unusual curtain! I wonder how old it is? Or is this a new trend? It looks sheer. I've never seen a photo curtain before.

  15. The curtain makes the Duke and Duchess of Windsor look like ghostly apparitions. Interesting way to harken back to the resort's history. After reading the dress requirements I realized I no longer have the wardrobe required to meet the dress code. Sigh. Thanks, Tanya, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
