I hope you are ok with me still showing pictures from The Greenbrier...I have soooo many to show you. I'll wrap it up next week and move on. But seriously, around every corner is a different look! It's just the most amazing place!
Now some randoms:
1) Ashlyn left for JMU. I cried. You said I would. Ash said I would. And I did. A lot. Like a big, huge baby. We both cried in the driveway hanging on to each other. I couldn't sleep well that night. I kept waking up missing her so much that I felt like I was suffocating. She came back the next night because she forgot her parking pass...that's my girl lol...luckily JMU is only an hour and a half away!
2) Braden and Dalton had their first football game as middle schoolers. It was a scrimmage against Staunton River and they won, 35-0! First real game is Monday.
Here's my Dalton catching a pass:
3) This Video made me lol, for real.
4) Have you heard about the real life Purge? Ashlyn was telling me about it. I guess it's a hoax but scary none-the-less..read about it HERE
5) I've been noticing trees thinking it's fall out. Slow your roll, it's still summer!
Now it's your turn! Happy Willy Nilly Friday!

ReplyDeleteI remember my first few hours after being dropped off in western NY. "What have I gone and done", as my parents car pulled out of the lot.
ReplyDeleteThe Greenbrier looks fabulous Tanya, very elegant, always good to see. What a very interesting post, good links.. the video made me laugh too, so cuuuuute :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I like to hear the piano sitting on the sofa of the background!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous place!
ReplyDeleteThe Greenbrier looks amazing. I may have to add that to the old Bucket List. Good luck to your kiddos at school this year. I agree that it's hard to say goodbye but it's part of life.
ReplyDeleteJust wait til she comes back with a load of laundry some weekend.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful place!
Seriously, how did you get this awesome picture of Dalton catching that pass? Amazing and at just the right moment! I would never get tired of seeing the Greenbriar because our kids go there! LOVE this room. Who would have ever thought these color would go together, and yet they do!!
ReplyDeletethe whole place is full of odd color combos that go so good together but you wouldn't think so! when i take pics of sports, i set it on burst and try to follow the ball, or my boys, sometimes i get lucky this time!
DeleteI wish they would fix whatever is wrong with the commenting. I think I wrote...Great job, Dalton! Good luck in the rest of the games.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I cried, too when my kids when off to school. It's good Ashlyn is not too far away! Thanks for hosting and have a nice weekend!
Birds flying from the nest... ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou can show me as many pictures as you like, that floor is amazing!
Wow! Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteClassic looking room.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the interior view of the Greenbrier. When I was there, some of the color combinations looked straight out of 1950. This looks a bit better.
ReplyDeleteYou will soon learn that your daughter is settling in well at college and loves it, and that will be enough for you to stop crying and appreciate that this next phase of your life will work out just fine.
Love seeing the Greenbrier! No problem. Great shot catching Dalton in mid-air! And I can so relate to you saying goodbye to Ashlyn! How I remember how hard all that was!
ReplyDeleteLovely room! The reflections on the floor are just great.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful day.
I didn't have kids move away to college... my daughter boomeranged in and out of the house a number of times until she was 25.. my son is working, paying rent and still with us, he's 27... never been out of our home yet... I think I'll miss him terribly when he's gone though...
ReplyDeleteI tired to remember who hosted this blog yesterday but couldn't, now I know so I've written it down. - Thank goodness you kiddo is a fairly short distance away. I bet she visits often. Nice action shot of your son playing football.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous interior shot!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to your daughter at JMU! Harrisonburg is a nice town.
