Durham . NC

I am not sure what this is, found it downtown but am wondering if it's parts from one of the tobacco factories?

  2. I've always heard that you could cleanup rust with Coke, it doesn't look like it worked! Tanya, thanks for sharing your rusty collection. Please stop back again.

  3. Looks like something that would go on the front of a tractor???

  4. Industrial and rust is in, or is it out. You have my imagination going with this piece.

  5. Great find. Looks like but not sure whether it is the spiral tiller blade of a tractor.

  6. What a whimsical picture! Interesting place to put a Coke bottle. It is like they didn't want to look for a trash can, but also hated to litter. So they kind of hid it. This looks like part of an auger or something, for making big holes to plant trees. But I am no expert on huge machinery. Great find and perfect for posting!

  7. Rusty things are always so interesting. Looks like a posthole digger for a tractor but a bit too big. Who knows??

  8. It's a rusty mystery. You don't see too many glass Coke bottles that big anymore.

  10. I recognize the coke bottle (ha ha) but no idea what that serious looking object is. Makes for a nice picture, just the same.

  11. I also thought of a post hole digger when I saw it, but it is a bit too big.

  12. It looks like the pomace auger our formerly brewery, only some bigger.
As a child I've often watched as a horse-drawn carriage was under the screw and got wet pomace
