1)
Somewhere near Lake Robertson

On this drive back in April, we took some back road to Lake Robertson and came back home through Lexington and Buena Vista. I have shown you a few pics here and there from our little drive and one of the houses I showed has Genie from Buttons For Baga going crazy trying to locate it and I'm really not any help as I can't remember the road(s) we were on...soooo...I'm going to leave her a bread crumb trail if you will to narrow her hunt down! This house above was after the house she's trying to locate.

2)
We were parked here trying to decide where to go have lunch. I know you recognize this place Genie...for others that don't this is Stonewall Jackson's old neighborhood, his house is the brick building on the left.

3)
From Stonewall Jackson's house we then passed this beautiful old home. But I cannot remember how far it was but I'm thinking not too far...

4)
This is the place Genie is trying to find...saw this somewhere after the house above...

5)
Now Genie, if you come across this coffee pot you have gone too far! Good luck, I hope my clues help you! You will have to let me know if you find it!

Some of you might be thinking these places look familiar and you probably saw them right here...I've posted them all before, except #1 :)

That's my 5 this week! I hope you will play along too! Post 5 randoms, link back and visit others!! Have a great weekend!!

  2. I have been to the coffee pot house, and to Stonewall Jackson's house! It is very narrow and has a narrow side yard with a plaque of information. We live about an hour away from here. As to the beautiful old homes, I don't remember seeing them. "Gone With The Wind" comes to mind!

  7. Ok...the sleuths are on patrol. We think we know where it is. I have to go to the blood doctor this morning at 9:15 (thank goodness they come to Lexington once a week instead of having to drive to over by Roanoke Memorial) and will hit the road. Keep your fingers crossed I find it. It is on a part of the street further down from SJHouse that I seldom go on. Will write back later today. Hugs...genie

  17. That "coffee pot" place looks just like the coffee pot that starts my post this week! I'm on my way to link up.

  18. I see the coffee pot house is for sale. This is your perfect opportunity to buy it and open, what else, a coffee shop. Bet people, especially photographers, would flock to the place.

  20. Building # 4 looks like a public building. It says 1855-2005. Is it associated with Washington-Lee?

  21. The coffee house is great! And cute. And I'd even say there are "grounds" for trying the coffee there! :)
