Bang, bang, bang....hey I like the way the Buchanan Theatre sign is lit up!
4)

Wow, they did it downtown, not even in a field somewhere!! I guess quite a few people got a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteI live in an "reenactment" place ! Always the battle of Waterloo, Napoleon agains Wellington. During the whole summer there are soldiers walking around and once n the battles anniversary the whole reenactment.
ReplyDeleteWow! Lovely photos.
ReplyDelete...I don't see grey much around here.
ReplyDeleteThen and Now come together. Hope you were able to negotiate Nick's release.
ReplyDeleteI like how history is standing in the 21st Century . . . it's a treat for the mind.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun! Hope Nick made it home!!!! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYes, you were spotted! Such a contrast between the modern city and the re-enactors.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love this! I have been to a few re-enactments over the years and they always bring the history to life. Looks like the re-enactors are having a great time, too.
ReplyDeleteReenactments are such fun to watch. Your photos captures the sense of the fun involved.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun and everyone was having a good time.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, but strange to see with cars lining the streets
ReplyDeleteHave a great week-end!
Looks like the guys are having fun!
ReplyDeleteThey did something similar in Front Royal. It was surreal.
ReplyDeletewow! never saw it done in the street! The most re-enactments we ever saw were in Georgia, they seemed to have one somewhere every weekend! LOL They were all in big fields tho. Hope you have a great weekend and get some time to be out making pictures! See ya on the instagram!!
ReplyDeleteit's a 3 day event and friday night starts in the street, where it originally started, then saturday and sunday move to the field by the river! this was our first time to watch this one, we usually go on saturday!
DeleteWhat a fun event to witness. I do hope they were easy on Nick....I mean, he was wearing a Doors t-shirt; they should know he's just a hippie looking for some fun. ;)
ReplyDeleteSuper shots, I like the idea of historical re-enactments Tanya we should do the first colonials arriving from Britain and how the Aborigines reacted to them, but I don't think we do!
