Willy Nilly Friday 5 No. 138

1)
This morning's sunrise...the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance...it's going to be a gorgeous day!

2)
Wednesday was Ashlyn's 23rd birthday! I went over and picked her up so we could spend a few hours together. She wanted to go to Black Dog Salvage and look around for a table...everything was way out of her price range...they have cool stuff there, just pretty costly...I've heard from people around here that the prices went up after they started their show...that's too bad...anyways, after leaving Black Dog empty handed I took her to lunch at Tuco's Taqueria which is one of her favorite places...we both had a shredded beef taco and a chicken taco...oh, and a margarita :)
After that we went back to her apartment and walked around the block with Riley...

3)
This one is a couple of houses down from her...

4)
This one is on the corner...can you see the porch curtains on the left? I love when big porches like this have curtains!

5)
The little alleyway that runs behind her street...

I've got to get the boys up shortly and head to the mall...we need to do some back to school shopping...boo...school starts Wednesday...booooo :(

I put shopping off till almost the last minute and wouldn't you know, today and tomorrow are "tax free" days for back to school stuff such as clothes and computers and school supplies...you couldn't pay me to get out and shop tomorrow but maybe the crowds won't be so bad this morning and I can save a few bucks!

That's my 5 this week friends! I hope you will play along too! Post 5 randoms, link back and visit others! Have a great weekend :)

I'm linking up with Macha's Weekend Green & Five on Friday

  4. I love seeing YOU! Her block looks wonderful and beautiful! Even the alley is neat and pretty! The big old houses are beautiful and well taken care of. A gorgeous neighborhood! School here starts Tuesday. Ridiculous! When I was growing up, school let out in early June and didn't start till early September. I used to have a dog who looked like this!

  5. I love the houses with their verandahs, we don't need them over here without so much sun. Sounds like you had a lovely time with your daughter.

  7. Happy Birthday to Ashley! It is truly a shame that Black Dog Salvage jacked their prices up because of the show...I was sure they must've. Everything they've mentioned a price for on the show has made me suck my breath in! Loved the houses. Beautiful sunrise too.

  9. Love the old houses and the great big porches. I've never seen curtains on a porch but I love the idea. It's tax free weekend around here as well. Told my boys that my sanity was worth a lot more than saving 8%. We have about a week and half to go so all that shopping will be on our agenda next week. Hope you are having a great Saturday!
