Barn Charm Tuesday

Yesterday, Columbus Day, the kids were out of school and we needed to go get some groceries for the house. On the way I decided to stop at the Apple Barn and look inside. The woman who works there asked me if we had been apple picking yet and that we should stop over at the other Apple Barn so the boys could pick apples. So glad we did. Turned out to be fun for all of us and I could cross apples off my shopping list ;)

The Apple Barn, both locations, are located in Troutville.

I'm linking once again with Tricia over @ Barn Charm!

  1. Pretty barn! And I've actually been to Troutvile! Many, many years ago, my first husband and I would ride that way sometimes going out to his homeplace near Glade Spring, Va. Love that part of the state.
Thanks for stopping by my blog & leaving a comment!

  4. That's a really pretty barn & what a great name... did they build that one especially for the business or did they save a barn for the business? Either way, it's great! I'd love to have a business in a beautiful barn! =)

    Thanks for joining, Tanya =)

  6. It's a great looking barn. A fine site for an apple business. Good choice to get your apples right off the trees!

  7. I'll bet your boys did enjoy picking their own apples. You've captured a neat barn here.

  8. That is a lovely barn! How were the apples - good?

Have you ever tried the Honey Crisp apples? They're very expensive, but very, very good.

Re your comment on The Villages: That's one of those crew boats. I've never seen one on Lake Sumter, but one day there were a bunch of people getting ready to go out (there were more boats, too)...I think it's used for training.

  14. Boy...the minute I saw the first bit of this photo I knew exactly where it was. We need to pay them a visit and get a bushel of apples. I thought of you all on saturday while we were tromping around over in West Virginia. It was wonderful. If you have not been to Bear Town, you MUST go. Cranberry Bogs was beautiful, too. We had the best time. Also....you need to go up to Swannanoa Castle drop Afton Mt. It is really a neat place. It is open this Sunday...6.00 to go thru it ...so am going back up there. Thank heavens we finally got out internet working again. Missed your posts. genie
