September Theme Day - PINK!

(click on photo to enlarge) Downtown Roanoke

Walked around downtown a bit on Saturday after the Bacon Festival. Ended up getting some locally grown honey from the market and some fresh baguettes from On The Rise. I've shown you their window display before right HERE

Come visit the City Daily Photo community for more pictures of PINK!

  2. Bacon Festival? I'm going to petition Salem to inaugurate a Bacon Festival. Honey and baguettes sound yummy too.

  6. Bacon festival, sounds nice!
Is the board pink or is it the color of the pink flowers reflected on to the board?

  8. We had BLTs for lunch a day late as we had to go somewhere yesterday, bacon is some good eats!
I had to really look for some pink this morning but found a poke plant that had various pinks.

  15. Oooh, a bacon festival! Sounds yummier than our annual Irrigation Festival (celebration of bringing irrigation water canals to our valley). But we also have a Lavender Festival and that's nice - including food cooked with lavender. Local honey and baguettes are good any time!

  19. Beautiful tree with its pink blooms! The historic sign is great, reminding me also of all the joys of Virginia! :-) We have Framer's Markets here too though, thank goodness. That's one thing I didn't understand when we lived in Texas...the lack of them. People seem to have given up on veggie gardens and selling at road-side stands or having Farmer's Markets. Everywhere were fields of cows, or wheat. Even the cotton that used to be common there was nowhere to be seen. I missed it all so much!
