Monday Mural - Rooftop Graffiti

This graffiti is found on the roof of Center in the Square. I wonder why, after all the work they did, they didn't clean up the graffiti? Odd!

Anyways, the weekend's weather was awesome. Yesterday we decided to head downtown and check out the views from atop Center in the Square. Pretty amazing! Had lunch at Queso Southwestern Grill inside the City Market Building. I suggest the shredded beef taco and steak burrito, yum.

Today is a snow day. The snow is falling quick. Not sticking to the roads yet but we have about an inch or so in the yard so far. Guess it's supposed to snow all day with the possibility of 4-8 inches. The Governor has already declared a State of Emergency. Maybe this will be bigger than they think!

Oscars?! Stayed up to watch. Loved Ellen! The only movie I have seen so far was Captain Phillips which was really good. Nick had seen Wolf of Wall Street which he LOVED and has gone on and on about it ever since. I loved that Lupita Nyong'o from 12 Years A Slave. I must see that movie. I loved Matthew McConaughey's speech. Pink...WOW...Angelina Jolie walking out with Sidney Poitier, I love her. And when Ellen bought pizza, she is hilarious! Well, that's my Oscars wrap up ha! 5. Not having TV and not caring for the Oscars, I am blissfully unaware of the intricacies that you are talking about!

I actually hope they've cleaned this off. Though the quote is ok, it's pretty ugly...

  7. The quote's one thing, but the graffiti itself doesn't work.

I didn't see the Oscars, though of the nominees, I did see Captain Phillips.

  8. it is the 1st time i have ever watched the whole entire (beginning to the end) Oscars. usually i just watch a bit & go to bed way before 12 midnight. this time i really got into it ... i love the part where they remember all the folks who have past away within this year. such a great time. i love all the dresses. i thought Ellen did a bunch of mistakes - she usually is so laid back - wonder what was up or wrong? 9. What a day and it’s another snow day tomorrow for us. Why didn’t they get rid of that graffiti? Everything else about the Center is so nice. I am NOT a graffiti lover. I enjoyed Ellen, too.

  10. Murals are one thing, but most graffiti we get here isn't very pleasant to look at.

  14. Not sure if I like the look of this graffiti. More snow...oh no! I'm just watching highlights of oscars. First year I have almost seen all the films but just couldn't stay up to watch at 1.30 am :).

  15. It is unusual that it was left... probably another departments problem, who weren't actually involved in the building work!

  16. I'm with you...away with the graffiti! Did not see ANY of the movies!
