A Carriage Ride

Homestead Creamery Farm Days

Ugh...Tuesday...I downloaded a Java update only to have a bunch of junk sneak in with it. I spent most of the day uninstalling these unwanted programs that were unknowingly bundled with the update. There is still a small issue that I can't find yet but will. On some sites when I click a link, a different link will open as well, usually a shopping type link or a link for w i x website builder...I have done a scan but it shows nothing but I know something is hiding in there...it's just a matter of time...so frustrating and really annoying! "I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too!" ;) Any ideas experts?

  2. No good asking me, I'm afraid; but you've reminded me I need more coal for this thing... Where is that pony taking those poor people?

  3. At least you have a pleasant farm scene to calm your nerves as you go about rooting out the weeds from your system.

  7. Love the wagon shot.
I just updated my Mac by myself last week and I was quite impressed with myself if you must know. I've not had any issues with java updates....you might need a professional. Sorry!

  8. Well I sympathize with your computer problem. I stupidly allowed a program to update one of my apps without closely looking at it. And of course, it was not for real and it installed this thing called websearches that has take over my browser and I cannot get rid of it. Arrgggg. Anyway, that's really an idyllic shot !

  10. I think a lot of blogs now have ads and pop up boxes. I don't mind the ads much (unless it interferes because there are too many of them), but I hate getting pop up boxes. I tend not to go back to those blogs. It's greatly annoying.

  12. Oh that's too bad, I've learned from past issues that it's not good to download anything from anywhere or open any attachments that you aren't totally sure where they come from. My hubby has installed some sort of thing on our compture that will warn us if something bad is lurking! Even at times when it's safe but, the program doesn't trust it!

  13. No expert here, but will just say how amazing and world-changing technology is and with it comes that ugly underbelly. Good luck.

  15. The wagon ride looks like fun! I hope you can finish off the remaining intruder on your computer. I hate it when they include stuff like that.

  17. I love the idea of a simpler, less hectic life!
On another note, when you comment on my blog and I click on your name, it takes me to the summary of how many times you have commented on my blog. If someone didn't know that you were "Around Roanoke," they wouldn't know how to find you. I'm not sure how to help but it would be nice to get routed directly to your blog because it is great! Thanks for the tips about NC! I'll try your suggestions!
