It's All In The Details

Walking under the bridge @ the Roanoke Star (Mill Mountain Star)...one thing I've noticed since moving here is that Roanoke just loves to have several different names for a thing, especially street names...anywho....
I was drawn to these little pretties...
Now in B&W...Kind of looks like a pretty little cake with frosting dripping down :) Or maybe I'm just hungry!

“Everything made by human hands looks terrible under magnification--crude, rough, and asymmetrical. But in nature every bit of life is lovely. And the more magnification we use, the more details are brought out, perfectly formed, like endless sets of boxes within boxes.”

  1. I really like that first photo. It's so well composed and very artsy. That's one you might wish to frame and hang!

  3. Did someone say cake? ;) At first pass, I thought of icicles forming.
