Old House on Colonial Road

Colonial Road . Blue Ridge

I would have loved to get out and walk around and take lots of pictures but there was farm equipment stored here and I was not sure if the owners lived right across the street from this place and were looking out their windows watching me ;)

  6. I understand completely. I would have wanted to get out and walk around too, but not at the risk of someone coming after me.

  8. What a find. Maybe you can go back and get permission to photograph it. I'm sure the owners would be delighted. Nice to see the old building still standing.

  9. Oh my, what a lonely and sad picture. It must have been something in it's heyday. And double chimneys! That was quite rare. Reminds me of the song "Gulf Coast Highway". I guess it would take lots more money to restore than to tear down. Poor old house.

  10. What a cute house. I love the porch, the angles on its roof. Someone's pride and joy at one time.

  15. Nice place. You could have used it for the October "abandoned" theme.
