The National Aquarium-DC

On Thursday, Ashlyn went on a field trip with her American Conflicts class to Washington DC. The kids were put in groups and were free to roam the streets/museums of DC at their own pace. I was thinking "Yay, a bunch of new pictures that I can use for the blog"! The girl gets home and only took 9 pictures, yes you read that right, 9! And 3 of them were of rocks. She was in DC, tons of photo ops! Clearly she didn't understand the importance of her mission, to get pictures, for me!

Anyways, one of her stops was the
National Aquarium. She had a super fun time and came home with alot of stories to share :)

  1. That's too funny! I'm sure she had a great time though - DC is a fun city to visit!! I love this photo, it's so colorful and she did well taking it through the glass.

  4. The most important question is: are these 9 shots good ones? ;-)
I do like go to the aquarium, we have an absolutely beautiful one in Brittany, just in front of the Atlantic ocean, in a town called Brest, far far in west Brittany, to the end of the land. Fabulous!

  6. Oh Alice, I totally understood what you meant! No worries :)

  7. Crittoria, I think she did pretty good too, she knows all her camera settings better than I do,lol.

Lois, I think she did have too much fun to worry about pictures! Although it was raining most of the time that day and she didn't want to get her camera wet. Poor things, it was cold and wet, not a very good day for a trip, but they didn't seem to mind!

    Thanks Babooshka!

  12. She really caught the undersea feeling. One good one is enough, right?

Maybe it's the age -- On my first trip to Europe (high school exchange program, six weeks) I took one roll of film!

  13. I think she did a great job with this picture, it is beautiful. We need to see a rock picture. Maybe it will be unique to us. ;) After all, remember back in the 60s, when people were buying pet rocks?
