The National Aquarium-DC
On Thursday, Ashlyn went on a field trip with her American Conflicts class to Washington DC. The kids were put in groups and were free to roam the streets/museums of DC at their own pace. I was thinking "Yay, a bunch of new pictures that I can use for the blog"! The girl gets home and only took 9 pictures, yes you read that right, 9! And 3 of them were of rocks. She was in DC, tons of photo ops! Clearly she didn't understand the importance of her mission, to get pictures, for me!
Anyways, one of her stops was the
National Aquarium. She had a super fun time and came home with alot of stories to share :)
That's too funny! I'm sure she had a great time though - DC is a fun city to visit!! I love this photo, it's so colorful and she did well taking it through the glass.
ReplyDeleteShe must have been having too much fun to take many pictures--good for her! She did an excellent job on this one.
ReplyDeletePhotography does become an obsession. Only 9. Anyway this is a smasher, so hypnotic.
ReplyDeleteThe most important question is: are these 9 shots good ones? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI do like go to the aquarium, we have an absolutely beautiful one in Brittany, just in front of the Atlantic ocean, in a town called Brest, far far in west Brittany, to the end of the land. Fabulous!
Oh Tanya, I didn't want to say this shot was no good! I like it! I might not try to joke, my English is not good enough...
ReplyDeleteOh Alice, I totally understood what you meant! No worries :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't particularly care for her rock shots though, lol (shhhh, don't tell her that I said so!)
Crittoria, I think she did pretty good too, she knows all her camera settings better than I do,lol.
ReplyDeleteLois, I think she did have too much fun to worry about pictures! Although it was raining most of the time that day and she didn't want to get her camera wet. Poor things, it was cold and wet, not a very good day for a trip, but they didn't seem to mind!
Thanks Babooshka!
Haha, One of mine is fixing to hike the Appalachian Trail in North Georgia, and I am demanding tons of pictures! We'll see! Anyhow, she got a great one at the aquarium.
ReplyDeleteAw, she was having too much fun to stop and take pictures. Ha. MB
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. I didn't about this place in DC. Thanks.

Well, at least this is a great photo of the acquarium! Nice and colorful!
ReplyDeleteShe really caught the undersea feeling. One good one is enough, right?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the age -- On my first trip to Europe (high school exchange program, six weeks) I took one roll of film!
I think she did a great job with this picture, it is beautiful. We need to see a rock picture. Maybe it will be unique to us. ;) After all, remember back in the 60s, when people were buying pet rocks?
ReplyDeleteNever mind Tanya. I liked the picture of the aquarium that she took. Looks great! - Yes, can we see a riock picture? - Dave
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely colourful photo but only 9! Doesn't your daughter realise we are all out here waiting for photos! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll just have to go to D.C. Like I say, if you want a job doing properly do it yourself! :)
Very nice reef tank shot! I love aquariums, have 5 small fresh watertanks at home.
ReplyDeleteHA HA, well this one turned out good. My trip to the Dallas Aquarium ended up with a bunch of glass reflections and no fish.
ReplyDeleteAnyway that's a great pic.
ReplyDeleteKids, huh! Well, this is a nice photo and a change of pace too!!! I've seen one other aquarium shot today.
ReplyDeleteLove the DC pictures... 9 is pretty good considering all the excitement and, ugg, weather.
ReplyDeleteBetter she comes back with few pictures and Lots of stories to share than the opposite!!!
ReplyDeleteThis one is quite good!
