The sun coming up on the way back home after dropping Braden and Dalton off at school yesterday. Can you believe today we have a 2 hour delay because of ice? Yes, we got more rain/snow mix overnight, nothing stuck because the ground is too warm, but there are some icy conditions out. This cold weather is supposed to carry on through the weekend. Winter's having a hard time letting go.

That picture reminds me of waiting for the bus in the cold when I was in school.
ReplyDeleteGosh, how early are your kids' classes?
ReplyDeleteLOL Hilda, it's not really as early as it looks. Braden and Dalton have to be to school by 8, then Christian at 8:45 and Ashlyn at 9. With the time change, it's a little darker in the morning now!
ReplyDeleteNice shot Tanya!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you're riding into the sunrise. Sorry winter is still hanging on there. Crazy weather.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo, Tanya... sun coming up and the bus tail lights.. very nice!
ReplyDeleteDi

ReplyDeletele printemps a du mal à arriver chez toi ;o( mais cela donne un beau ciel
ReplyDeletethe spring finds it difficult to arrive home ;o( but it gives a nice sky
Someday spring will come! Nice shot, happy SWF!
ReplyDeleteThis daylight savings time mean kids go to school in the dark. Nice early morning shot.
ReplyDeleteStrange weather lately here too. Nice picture.
ReplyDeleteSchool buses are about the same everywhere and most of them are built in Richmond, Indiana, just 26 miles from our house.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. Sorry about the ice. Hope the weather soon turns into Spring. I am so very tired of Winter. Please Spring come soon!!
ReplyDeletePretty morning despite the ice.
ReplyDeleteYou are a busy Mommy running them to school, etc. You must be up very early in the am.
ReplyDeleteTake a rest this weekend!!
I know we're all "thinking spring."
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right, winter IS having a hard time letting go! We had 70 degree weather last week, then it suddenly dropped! Flowers & trees had started blooming & now what's gonna happen to them?
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot...
ReplyDeleteSkylight and bus lights. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely, nostalgic photo with the warm color of the new day and the school bus stopping. Looks like a real bit of Americana.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, my dad bought an old phone booth from a salvage yard and replaced the glass so my brother and I had a wind-free place to wait for the bus. We were probably the only kids who waited for the schoolbus in an empty phone booth.
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen the confused visitors who stopped to try and use it. haha
San Diego farmgirl - what a great story. I would love to photograph that waiting booth. Nice picture, tanya
ReplyDeletenice composition!
ReplyDeletevery beautiful sunrise.
ReplyDeleteLove the post for Skywatch Friday. At least with 2 hour delay, the time doesn't need to be made up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and visiting your NC neighbors!

ReplyDeleteWe're in Minnesota this weekend - land if ice and snow - and it's supposed to be 50 degrees today. Be still my beating heart - I need SPRING!!
