Exhausted

Poor Ashlyn. This semester has worn her down. Each class sends home too much homework. One day this week she was sitting at the table working on her school work when I walked in and this is exactly how I found her, sound asleep. I grabbed my camera which was sitting nearby (lol) snapped a pic then tried to get another when she very faintly whispered out a little "stop it".
The kids get a 3 day weekend this weekend so the extra rest will definitely do her good!
Have a great weekend :)

  6. Oh, I know what you mean...My son who is on his first year at the university, is working very hard for seven months now. He must pass a competitive examination on May and works 14 hours a day...Last week, he told us he felt asleep on his desk at 11PM and woke up at 2am. He has come back home only twice since september. But next weekend, it will be my birthday and he will be there! I don't need any other gift!
    A kiss to your daughter.

  8. Poor Ashlyn! Iam a teacher (I retired last year). I know that sometimes we give them too much homework to do in France. School should be fun!

  9. Well I left a comment and then it just disappeared. Oh well.
I think there is way too much homework given but then again I probably said the same thing. MB

  10. What grade is she in? My son is in the Italian equivalent of 6th grade and has hours of homework a day. I think it's just terrible!

  11. It's so important to capture these moments. Will Ashlyn give you a hard time about it, I wonder, if she finds you've posted it. Or will she say, 'that's my mom.'

  13. LOL Bratt, she'll say "that's my mom" but if I were to put it on Facebook, then she'd be mad...here her friends won't see it lol :)

    Thanks everyone for stopping by!

  15. Poor girl. I don't miss high school or college one bit! I remember how wonderful those first few years of 'just' work were.
