Black & White Wednesday

I'm trying out a new theme this week, "Black & White Wednesday". I never use black and white and I love it when I see black and white in photos, but when I look at my own, I have a major thing for color too....so....this shall give me an excuse to go ahead and use black and white once a week!

This really cool old tree stands at Greenfield. There should be a weekly tree theme because I also have this thing for trees!

Check out more pics in black and white!

  1. I imagine that tree looks completely different with leaves. Perhaps you will return to take a color photo? :)

  2. Your goal of a B&W photo once a week is a good one; it inspires me. Perhaps I'll do the same!

  4. i don't think that tree is living nancy...the trunk is wide open....i was trying to get a good picture of it show the trunk because i think it's beautiful but i would have had to get on the ground to do it and my husband was getting annoyed with me lol....i'll definitely go back though because this is my favorite walking spot and it's just across the street from me....maybe i'll get over there today for a bit because we're supposed to have a nice spring-y day!

  5. Tanya, I'm with you - I've got a thing for color, and for trees. Also front doors, and dogs (love your Ozzy!) But your B&W is really nice. Look forward to seeing more.

  12. I have loved the weekly link up - got me thinking about and experimenting with looks and photos I would never have imagined. I love it! Your shot is very strong and dramatic - I have had a love affair with branches this winter for some reason ... tree to tree all so different ~ some gentle, and some, like this, are so striking ... almost harsh. Great shot!

  13. Very nice B & W edit of a neat looking tree!

Hope you had a fun snow day with your kids. Today is windy and cooler, but the weather has been beautiful. Monday and Tuesday were in the 50's. After today, sounds like we are in for a nice rest of the week.
