January 2013 Theme Day - Best of the Year 2012
The City Daily Photo Theme for January has become a bit torn. Some, like me, prefer to go with the traditional "Best of the Year" theme that we've done every year and some wanted change. So Gerald was kind enough to host us traditionalists this time around. Thank you Gerald!
When I was thinking of which photo I wanted to use, this one immediately came to mind as one of my favorites. This is Agnew Seed Shop downtown Roanoke and I blogged about it right here back in March. Wow, doesn't seem like it was that long ago!
To see more entries on the theme, visit Gerald at Ackworth Born
Happy New Year!!
Is it just me, or do old buildings such as these have a style and flair with which more modern styles can't compete?
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Great post.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours, may 2013 be everything you desire.
- Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteTime waits for no blogger!! A very Happy New Year to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to share your photo with Buddy. He works for Kirk here in Lex at the Walkabout and he and Kirk together cleaned out the old store and got it ready to open. This is such a cool shot. I would love to have a copy of it to give to Kirk and Tina (I taught her in 6th grade)...they are the owners and have 2 stores here in Lex (Walkabout and Ladles and Linens} and have just bought another in Harrisonburg. When the auction at Agnew was going on and it sold for 500,000.00, Tina almost fainted ...she couldn't believe they had won! This a really cool adaptation of the image. Love the processing. Back to school tomorrow....UGH! HAPPY NEW YEAR. genie
