Mountain Lake Lodge-A Series-Part 6-Banquet Facilities

Chef Michael took us downstairs to show us the grand banquet rooms. Aren't they ginormous? There are 6 of them. And again, I can't get enough of that gorgeous stonework. In our cabin there was a book about the history of the lake/lodge. I wish I could remember the name of it but anyways it talked about how they used to store ice for the lodge down here, back in the beginning days of the lodge. I also wish I could remember more about that! How interesting!

  9. I think they use that kind of carpet b/c it doesn't show stains as much. It does look like a lovely space though. Nice place for a party! But you have to have lots of friends. :)
