Through My Lens - Christmas in Buchanan

Let's take a stroll down Main Street:
I love this little shop and especially at Christmas time...I've shown you this little place before Right Here

Buchanan's Christmas Tree...Each year they have a tree lighting ceremony...I've always wanted to go, it sounds so old-timey, small town but we've just not made it a priority...maybe next year! You can read about the tree lighting HERE

When Ashlyn isn't away at school, you can find her here in Buchanan...her 2nd home...her boyfriend lives here. On this day Ashlyn and her puppy Riley came to meet us since the weather was so warm. We picked up some hamburgers and ate dinner outside :)

If you read my blog regularly you might remember this is one of my most favorite little theaters in the whole-wide-world! I've shown it to you a couple of times HERE & HERE

This is Ransone's...I've shown you this place before as well Right Here ...I have an email friend, Will, whose family originally owned this back in the day. I enjoy his emails telling me of the history of his family and Buchanan...Hi Will if you are reading this!

These photos were all taken on Sunday after Christmas. It was such a pretty and warm day, in the upper 70's. So unlike the other winters we have had here. But today winter has shown up. It won't get out of the 30's and tonight dips down into the teens. Yikes! No snow in the forecast yet though...we are waiting!

  6. Fine post. With the movie theater and the soda fountain this place looks like a trip back to the 1950s and 60s.

  9. Enjoyed the walk Tanya :) Yes I can see why you love that little theatre, so much better than the big complexes. Sounds like your winter is taking its time to arrive in full force, enjoy the warm while you can :) Here's wishing yourself et famille all the very best for 2016 Tanya.

  14. Bud and I just adore that precious town tho we are careful to watch the speedometer as we drove through. The things the residents have done to revitalize that area are fine. The homes are so pretty. Thanks for sharing these from Christmas.
