On Monday morning the Buchanan Theatre was running a special. A viewing of Epic for only $3 per person. It's not expensive to see a movie there anyway, but heck $3 is awesome! I took the boys and we really enjoyed it. This photo though was from the week before when we went to pick up Christian's girlfriend. I've shown you the theatre from across the street HERE and funny, I zoomed in to see what was playing then and Rango was. Epic was made by the same people who created Rango! How ironic!

I love the ticket booth! And if you look carefully, you can see a sweet couple in the reflection to the left, that's Christian and his girlfriend and you can see me and one of the boys in the booth :)

Be safe if you are getting hit with that monster storm. It's missing us. Supposed to get some rain/snow later but nothing accumulating.

ReplyDeleteI love the old movie theaters. I didnt even know a storm was hitting anyone, if I wasnt at football, I've been watching the walking dead marathon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great ticket booth and a great price for a movie!
ReplyDeleteThese old theaters are very special. We have a similar one in downtown Ocala which has been restored and is in operation. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to get a lot of business. But the whole downtown area is being reworked so that may make a difference.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you for a wonderful 2014!
$3 is an awesome price for movie tickets! It has gotten so expensive lately!
ReplyDeleteWe have an old theater downtown similar to this one. My daughter loves Epic!

ReplyDeleteI do really like that ticket booth.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking sign.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this photo! It reminds me of the old movie theater we used to have in my small town. The ticket booth and marquee were much like the these in the photo. I miss it, but it's hard for a small town to compete with cities with several theaters that's within driving distance.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good price! And I love the look of older theatres.
ReplyDeleteI love old theaters like this! It's nice of them to run a special and also nice to hear that people still support these places. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these old theaters. Thanks for the nice photos of one of 'em.
ReplyDeleteI love signs especially the ones that are still painted on walls, or the faded ones that once were signs to businesses that no longer exist. I'd like to see inside this theatre too.
ReplyDeleteLots of character in that theater front. I am so glad when i see one still in a downtown.
ReplyDeleteThat theatre looks very old fashioned and appealing!
