Nick was doing a little fishing here and I noticed these clumps of leaves balled up on the branches and thought they looked like ornaments!
Today I am thankful for the nice lady that took my phone call at the courthouse...I had gotten a speeding ticket a while back and had the date that I needed to pay by locked in this steel trap brain of mine (haha)...well when I pulled my ticket out to pay I had the date wrong and was late, yikes! It said that I had to pay before the date I had in my mind or my license would be suspended so according to this my license was suspended...I was a day late! I started to freak out and shake and literally felt like I was about to pass out...I frantically called the courthouse and the nice person who answered the phone said "hold on a minute, let me see what I can do"...she came back and said that she could extend it for 2 weeks! Well needless to say I bolted right down there and paid it! I can't tell you the relief that flooded over me when she told me it was fixed! I am a procrastinator through and through and it gets me in a lot of deep water, you would think I would learn my lesson by now! But I have learned to slow down a bit thanks to the ticket! **Been missing this week...it has just been one of those weeks!**

Anniversary Park, Williamsburg
If you remember the reason we were in Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown a couple of weeks ago was so Nick could participate in the triathlon. First leg is a swim in the James River. He's one of those guys in the red caps. First group, green caps which are made up of military and younger guys, are just ahead, already swimming.
So now for some Friday 5's:
1) On Wednesday I took the boys to see the Lego movie. It was really cute. We laughed a lot. Regal Cinema has a summer movie special for kids. For the list CLICK HERE
2) This guy proves that there are people out there who care
3) I came up with a great idea (for me) to store recipes in Pinterest for my weekly menu. I make a new board each week labeled "Menu for the week of month/date" and new recipes I want to try out from the internet, I just pin to that folder. In the past when I want to try a new recipe, I would forget where I found it. Now it's tucked right there in my menu board!

“I like dogs
Big dogs
Little dogs
Fat dogs
Doggy dogs
Old dogs
Puppy dogs
I like dogs
A dog that is barking over the hill
A dog that is dreaming very still
A dog that is running wherever he will
I like dogs.”

Now it's your turn! Make a short list of 5 things on your mind, or long list, which ever, then link back to Willy Nilly Friday 5! Don't forget to add your link here so we can visit you! Happy Friday :)
This is Daniel Caldeborn. He is from Sweden. We met him yesterday in Buchanan. Daniel was having some lunch along the James River and getting ready to jump back on his bike for the days ride. Daniel wanted to tour the USA in a slow fashion so he flew over here and started his journey in Yorktown, Va and will end in Portland, Or. He thinks it should take him about 3 months. We enjoyed talking to Daniel and I told him to have his parents and girlfriend Google my blog so they can see a picture of him since I'm sure they are missing him! Best of luck to you Daniel! It was nice meeting you!
We spotted this sign while walking along the Percival's Island Trail in Lynchburg. This is on some private property on the James River. For more info on the James River, visit James River Association and for more signage, visit Signs, Signs.
This is a stressful week. I will be happy when it's over!
