Honest Abe
IN THIS TEMPLE
AS IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE
FOR WHOM HE SAVED THE UNION
THE MEMORY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN
IS ENSHRINED FOREVER

The Lincoln Memorial is a favorite. I especially like it at sunrise, when the crowds have not arrived and delicate shafts of light peek through the columns.
ReplyDeleteReally makes you feel small when you walk up those steps and see how huge his statue is. Love it!

cette statue de lincoln est magnifique, très majestueuse
ReplyDeleteThat one of my favorite statues/figure in the world. Love the photo. The last time I was there, it was so crowded that I could not get a good photo of Mr. Lincoln.

ReplyDeleteLost the verb there.
That's such a great monument. Brings back memories of my childhood in Alexandria.
ReplyDeleteFor sure life and honesty were a much more worth back when he was in charge.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photography indeed.
A wonderful Wednesday for you all.
