Salem, Va
A couple of weeks ago we went to
Olde Salem Days after the boy's football game. We weren't there much more than an hour when a storm blew through, blowing display tents over and having to shut the event down. This was my view from the beer garden which was actually the safest tent to be under :)
I have a thing with the b/w and in this photo I love especially the sky :-)
ReplyDeletethank you fabrizio! :)
DeleteKinda scary being outside when the skies look like this, but exciting at the same time!
ReplyDeleteit was pretty exciting! i felt bad for the people with the display tents though trying to get their stuff put up...this came in quick!
DeleteOh yea, I remember that afternoon, we were at the air show and the clouds were really menacing and perfect for B&W. I will be using color today as the sun will be on the yellow bean fields, hope you have some over your way!
ReplyDeleteoh i can't wait to see! yeah, we are supposed to dry out today too....i'm so happy as the boys have a football game tonight! it's going to be cold though but then i guess that is football weather!
Deletewow, those clouds & sky really look scary. wow. great view. (:
ReplyDeleteThat does look scary. A small child was killed in this area a couple of years ago when one of the large professional tents blew over in a storm. He was crouched next to a big generator and it fell on him. Tragedy of the worst kind.
ReplyDeleteVery foreboding!
ReplyDeleteI think you got much more rain out of yesterday's storms than we did up here in NoVA.
ReplyDeletenice! love the spire to offset the darkness.
ReplyDeleteI love what the black and white does to the clouds in this photo.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photograph in black and white. Hope your Salem does not have the dark history of Salem, Mass.
ReplyDeleteIt looks cold. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteSuch great a picture in b/w ! Thank you for the inspiration. Please have you all a good Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! I love the dark clouds and the steeple in the background! Gorgeous B&W!
