How dumb am I? I went to Jamestown on Friday with Braden and Dalton's 4th grade class and did NOT think to look for a barn while there. I'm sure there had to have been a barn in the little village but I didn't even think to look. I mean really, how dumb was that?! So I had to venture down Cougar Lane on Sunday while on my way back from Ashlyn's Baccalaureate Service and I found this goodie! It's not a Jamestown barn but it will do!

It's such a charming composition with the horse detail and the fence, you have clever eyes, congratulations!

A sweetheart just hiding there for you to find. It is so nice.It is in use because I see the cow there in the front. Know you all had fun at Jamestown. Congratulations to you on the big graduation. It is a happy time but also a sad one. As our children move on it is a tough to swallow. One more day after today. genie
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty with that weathered wood. It's nice to see a good roof on it and the horse in front adds to the charm.:>)
ReplyDeleteYou were preoccupied with 4th graders and being in that 'moment', so it's really natural that you didn't hunt for barns. You found a great one anyway!
I'm glad I got the bugs worked out too! I so wanted to share my log barn!
Sounds to me like a good excuse to make a return trip! ;-)

ReplyDeleteI often kick myself for not taking my camera along when I'm in new barn territory. This is a great barn, Tanya! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure one of those little buildings in the fort is considered a barn. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the one you found though and I like the fence in the foreground!

That horse has his eye on you!
ReplyDeleteI like how it's nestled in the trees. A fine shot for this special day.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking little barn! Love the horse in the shot, too!
ReplyDeleteWell, I would imagine it would be kinda hard to get shots of barns w/ a 4th graders hollering, "Let's go" every 5 seconds! LoL!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining Barn Charm & also, for the comment about hanging in & showing blogger who's boss... I'm really really trying! LoL! =)
PS Love the softness of the image & I really LOVE the dark barn wood! Awesome! =-)
ReplyDeleteI've often realized -- too late -- that I've forgotten to take a certain picture while visiting some place. I'm glad you found this charming barn, however.
ReplyDeleteWhat a spectacular setting!
ReplyDeleteNeat find and excellent editing, Tanya. I like the draft horse in front!
ReplyDeleteI like the slightly off-kilter look of this photo.
ReplyDeletePretty barn! And I like how you captured it with the woven wire fence in front of it!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! Love that horse too, looks kind of like a draft horse to me. :)
ReplyDeleteI drove through Illinois backroads last week on a detour and saw so many beautiful barn charms and always thought of you. Had I stopped at all I wanted, I would still be on the road today and it was a looooong drive last week.
ReplyDeleteThis one is cute!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot. The horse looks like it's riding the wire.
ReplyDeleteMore than "do", Tanya. This is an honest to goodness working barn. Love how you let the plain wire fencing show in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteNice barn. Love the curious horse watching as you take the picture. lol
ReplyDeleteNow that's idyllic! Thanks for stopping by at mine.
