Theme Day is here once more and the topic is Shelter. Crazy that it is already October isn't it? This photo is from back in August and I met this nice man seeking shelter from the hot sun. Tomorrow we're going to need more than this tree for shelter as Hurricane Joaquin will be bringing heavy rains and wind to our area over the weekend, on top of the week of rain we've already had. It's pretty soggy out already, I don't think we can take anymore rain!

Neat photo! Great for the theme. I hope you weather the storm well as it sounds like a BAD one.
ReplyDeleteI too hope you can weather the storm and stay sheltered
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're going to need quite a bit of shelter over the next few days Tanya. Hope this gent finds a sturdier shelter!
ReplyDeleteHopefully is Joaquin not so wild...
ReplyDeleteNice pic for the day, Tanya !
Good luck in the weather.
ReplyDeleteTake Shelter if you can.
Lovely portrait!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with Joaquin. Take care.
ReplyDeleteShade is definitely a welcome thing in hot weather. Hopefully Joaquin backs off and leaves your area alone.
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest we all fan our hands furiously in an easterly direction. Maybe the cumulative effect will push Joaquin out to sea. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post for the theme! One thing I've learned from living in Florida all my life is you never know what a hurricane is going to do. Maybe it won't be too bad.
ReplyDeleteA really great and speaking photo!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for the shelter theme. It's too bad you can't send the rain out west, they sure need it! Stay safe (and dry).
ReplyDeleteA fine photo! I'm tired of the rain too... hope folks don't get flooded.
ReplyDeleteNice choice for a "shelter" photo.
ReplyDelete(And good luck with the rain . . . We have had rain for the last four days, even before the arrival of Joaquin, but we need the rain and I am not complaining.)
Oh, I do hope Joaquin decides to head in another direction! Shelters can be sorely stressed by the likes of "him!"
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that rain here in California. We have many homeless in our parks and in the library. Fortunately, our temperatures are mild through most of the year.

ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation and picture for the shelter theme!
ReplyDeleteDid I mention already that your header looks familiar?
