Black Dog Salvage

Black Dog Salvage . 902 13th Street SW . Roanoke . 24016

Do any of you watch the Black Dog Salvage show? I do occasionally. I find it interesting to learn the history about the places they go to and then it's fun to see some of the things from the show back in the shop for sale! Admittedly I haven't watched in a while though but I think it is on Netflix. I've shown you Black Dog Salvage a few years back Right Here ...look how little my boys are in that photo! In the above photos we just happened to be driving by a couple of weeks ago but didn't stop...I do need to make a point to go poke around again soon!

  1. I've never heard of the place but we do have Netflix so I'll try to look it up. I can imagine they have a lot of interesting stuff in that store!

  2. I had missed your original Black Dog Salvage post (until now...I checked the link) and how cool it is to see it now on your blog! I remember telling you we watch the show. Haven't seen it since we got rid of our satellite, but was glad to hear you think it's on Netflix. I will make a concerted effort to look for it. It's an awesome show...would love to go in some time. They sure are expensive, though! I could never afford anything they have for sale. :-) Oh and yes, how cool you are getting Deschutes Brewery there! You'll have to come to our neck of the woods some time, and see the Deschutes river, and all the breweries around here!

  3. 'Tis a pretty cool place to visit for sure. Looks like you were heading back downtown after visiting Mick and Mac :) Love the Grandin area, and the folks at M&M. They were always so kind to let us boondock in our camper in their parking lot while visiting our daughter when she lived in Grandin.

  4. That is a fine looking sign. The only similar place we have is a Habitat ReStore. Like the VW pickup truck outside the store with the sign on it. That is two signs for the price of one. Must check out Netflix to see their show.

  6. Would you believe it we even saw that show over here in Northern Ireland!
They visit some really cool old places & transform their finds!

  7. I've heard the term "black dog" associated with depression or a bad mood so interesting to see it used in a different context.
