Walking home after checking the mail. Our mailbox is down the other end of this little gravel road. There are only 2 houses that sit on this road, ours and my neighbor, which you can see her driveway to her house from this view. My house is just a bit past hers.
Beautiful colors! What a nice walk, much more picturesque than my daily stroll down the oil-stained driveway. :o)
ReplyDeleteI just love these pictures showing us the path ahead. What a beautiful place you love. Thanks so much for sharing it through your pictures.
ReplyDeleteA rather romantic little path, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteSo many photos to enjoy here and so many things to read, my last week has been too busy...I need some time to be able to catch up! For the moment, I can say your path is really nice!
ReplyDeleteGoing on a walk to get the mail is a new concept to me as we get ours straight through the door onto the doormat. I think I'd bike it, being the lazy bones that I am!
ReplyDeleteNice to be "forced" to walk this little nice road!
ReplyDeleteA lovley walk on a nice day. Perhaps not so great if its raining or snowing.
ReplyDeleteun superbe paysage, avec des couleurs automnales.
ReplyDeletea beautiful landscape, with fall colors.
Very ambient and beautifully captured
ReplyDeleteI think I would like that walk. I would have to make it nice and slow.
ReplyDeleteThat's really, really pretty. Peaceful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice and quiet place to live far from the crowd!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful walk to get the mail.
ReplyDeleteWe have lived in a house where you walked around the corner to a bevy of locked mailboxes, then to a house where you had to walk a block away, also to a large group of locked mailboxes, then on to a home with a mailbox and the end of a very very short driveway and now to the end of a long driveway. Your path is more beautiful than any of my walks to the mailbox!

This is a beautiful picture Tanya. I wish I had this walk to my mailbox every day, but unfortunately mine is at the post office in town.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an autumn scene instead of winter, but it's pretty - I'm still waiting for snow here in SE MO! waiting & waiting - lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely rural location.
ReplyDelete"the road goes ever on and on",as Tolkien said in the Hobbit. very bucolic. I'd get run over if I tried to walk down my road. you're lucky to have this!
ReplyDeleteThis is another world to me. So peaceful. I ahve been showing everyone here your cardinal. We just don't have them.
ReplyDeleteSomeone's got horses. I see the electric tape.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty driveway.

ReplyDeleteVery nice photo. I see you have that photography art.
ReplyDeleteWell, about the place you live, what can one say about the beauty. You are one of the luckiest who have homes at such nice place!
This is lovely -- you've really captured the feeling of your place here. The walk to get the mail is one of the pleasantest things I remember about country life. (Except, say, when there was freezing rain.)
ReplyDeleteWith this walk, I'd be checking the mail all day. Beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteDo you walk every morning to get your paper???
ReplyDeleteor may be you send the dog!!!
