Nick participated in his 4th triathlon on Saturday and I tagged along as his personal photographer and thought, "hey, this is ZEST"!
So, what is Zest? According to Merriam-Webster Zest is this:
zest noun \ˈzest\
: lively excitement : a feeling of enjoyment and enthusiasm
: a lively quality that increases enjoyment, excitement, or energy
: small pieces of the skin of a lemon, orange, or lime that are used to flavor food
The whole tri thing gets Nick going. I don't get it but hey, to each his own right?!
This was the "Off The Rails" tri in Vinton. For more info on that Click Here and to see more Zesty photos, visit City Daily Photo!

Very good choice. Congrats to Nick. I'll run a road race, but swim and bike...whew no thanks. I do think they are fun to photograph.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations all around ! What a cool event... and nice photos of it.
ReplyDeleteLots of energy in those shots!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's zest!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Nick- I wish I had that kind of stamina...but I would never make it past the pool I;m afraid...especially if I had a floatie! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat entry, Tanya! Cool shots.
ReplyDeleteWell done! And cool zesty shots!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome! way to go, nick!
ReplyDeleteyou and william kendell had the same idea. :)
Zest is certainly appropriate. Kudos to Nick!
ReplyDeleteThis month's theme was a challenging one, but I think you nailed it Tanya! Congrats to Nick.
ReplyDeleteyou managed to find some zest
ReplyDeleteSince a few years, I love that tri-sport, and I would like to prctice. Maybe some day. Great zesty shots!
ReplyDeleteYou have found a lot of... zest!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Nick! I so admire people who do the tri's. I can't imagine myself doing it, but I think it must take a lot of focus and ZEST! :-)
ReplyDeletePerfect interpretation and photo(s) for today's theme!
ReplyDeleteMy wife has run many races including two marathons. I don't understand that. I really don't understand people who do triathlons. But more power to them! They've got more zest than I'll ever have! Darn!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Nick! Good shots!
ReplyDeleteI like seeing races like this, but I don't go for it myself. I get in a lot of walking every day, and swimming most days, but not competitively, and not running.
Great finds on the subject matter!

Great action images, make a memories reportage! Saludos
ReplyDeleteI was also getting a little worried about the "zest" theme. You definitely found a good subject. I don't know how/why people participate in these kinds of events, but I'm sure it has something to do with zest! :)
ReplyDeletePerfect for the day!
ReplyDeleteZesty all of them. Well, at least in the eye of the beholder. Why I had such trouble. Like God... zest is everywhere.
ReplyDeletePerfect shots for theme day!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, I would say that a triathlon counts as "zest"
ReplyDeleteGood for him. There is plenty of zest here! I am a big fan of triathlons, but ONLY as a photographer.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, good choice for the theme!
ReplyDeleteNick has way more zest than me Tanya, bet he loved being your inspiration :) super choice..
ReplyDeleteThat is Zest for sure! Well done, Nick!...and super shots, Tanya!
