Rhinos on the Streets of Bedford

We've driven past this sweet pair of traffic watching rhinos lots of times but this time I stopped to take a picture. I've always wondered what the deal was, why rhinos in Bedford and still don't know although I did find out they are another of Mark Cline's creations! Remember him? I've shown you some of his work HERE

They are also listed on Roadside America . com ...have you ever used that site to find interestingly odd things nearby? We've found quite a bit of stuff in our area from that site!

  1. I should have known they were Mark Cline. They are adorable! He once put wonderful elephants on our highest hill. The city finally made him take them apart and remove them. It was a sad day. Then recently they made him remove Stonehenge. He is a wonderfully whimsical artist.

  2. The rhinos probably turn a lot of heads when people drive by. The unusual makes it great!

  4. How funny and cute! We have lots of horses in Ocala (part of a special program honoring the fact Ocala is "The Horse Capitol of the World," and I've seen cities with bears (Berlin) and cows (several different ones), but never before seen rhinos.

  9. I see nothing strange about rhino's on the side of the road Tanya, but then again I did grow up in Africa 😀 They're definitely more appealing than Cyborg Muffler Man ☺
