"Deer" Monday, I Don't Like You...

Next Monday will be A-Ok, school will be out! But this Monday, blah! Nick competed in the Jamestown International Triathlon on Saturday. We left Friday morning and got back last night. This little deer is in Yorktown. More pics during the week! 3 days of school left...wahoo!!

ABC Wednesday - U is for: Undeniably the Best Seat in the Hizzle

This place, The Seafood Market in Hampton steams crabs to go. So....

We picked out our crabs and ordered some steamed shrimp and some sides like hushpuppies, cole slaw and mac n cheese....

Drove on over to Grandview Nature Preserve in Hampton and had a nice dinner on the beach...

Rubbish Tuesday - Hampton Carousel

Who doesn't like a carousel? This one was built in 1920. Pretty awesome isn't it?! Hard to get pictures of it all since it is tucked in safely in a teeny, tiny enclosure. I love the painted panels too. I had the boys take a ride so I could get some pictures. Then I caught them maneuvering from horse to horse while the ride was going. Boys will be boys I guess.

June Theme Day - Zest

ZEST is the theme for June amongst the City Daily Photo group...I've been pondering how the heck I was going to participate in this one until....

Nick participated in his 4th triathlon on Saturday and I tagged along as his personal photographer and thought, "hey, this is ZEST"!

So, what is Zest? According to Merriam-Webster Zest is this:

zest noun \ˈzest\
: lively excitement : a feeling of enjoyment and enthusiasm

: a lively quality that increases enjoyment, excitement, or energy

: small pieces of the skin of a lemon, orange, or lime that are used to flavor food

The whole tri thing gets Nick going. I don't get it but hey, to each his own right?!
