Construction on the Blue Ridge Parkway began Sept. 11, 1935 near the Virginia and North Carolina state line. The bridges were built by Spaniard and Italian stone masons.

The bridge is beautiful and looks like a British one. It looks older than it is, but that's probably due to the fact that old stones were used by Spaniard and Italian masons. Thanks for the visit, have a great Sunday!
One of the stone masons on the BRP was the daddy of a dear friend. It is amazing what they did with all of those stone bridges. Lovely shot. Wish I was up there right now instead of here at the house without any water. I forgot to turn off the hose yesterday and burned up the well pump. NOT GOOD! $$$$$$ UGH!
