Like the picture of the fence too and always wondered what a "hollow" was -- Makes me think of Coal Miner's Daughter -- Loretta talking to Doolittle about that jeap, "Doo, you'll never get that thing up that holler."     (How lovely that you've a beautiful D-Day monument in your neck of the woods, I'm always touched when I see memorials like that).
