Signs, Signs - 24 Church Avenue

According to their website "24 IS ONE OF THE HOTTEST NEW RESTAURANTS AND NIGHTCLUBS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN ROANOKE"

Having never heard of it I mentioned it to my husband. He said he thought they were no longer in business. Tried the phone number and it has been disconnected. Too bad. Looked like a neat place to try out.

Took this photo a few months back while driving by. I didn't notice at the time it was closed. The sign was what mostly caught my eye!

Linking with Signs, Signs

Update with some good meme news! I just got an email from Madge over at The View From Right Here and she is now hosting Ruality Blog Hop.
because we all miss Nancy and Lisa's Rural Thursdays! The Ruality Blog Hop will run on Wednesdays, except for today, the very first one will be today! My post isn't very rural today, in fact isn't rural at all, but you know, I want to play along and share the news about Ruality Blog Hop!

  1. It probably went out of business because it looks like a 21. People tried to call Restaurant 21 to make a reservation and thought it was no longer in business.

  14. Too bad it's closed. If you can read a restaurant by its sign, I'd think this one was worth trying.

  15. It is really bad that all the "small" business are closing - someone don't like them being there? - I guess not.... it is a great photo of the sign and sad at same time. You have saved a bit of a history from your town I guess?
Thanks for visiting my blog "Earthy" it was super of you.

  16. Awe, that's too bad they're not in business anymore. I hate when that happens, and it does happen a lot in our area unfortunately.

  20. Very cool photo! That's too bad about the restaurant, I always wonder what happens when a place sounds so promising but is closed before you even know it...such a shame!

  21. Well, the sign was pretty neat. Too bad the restaurant and bar weren't as "hot" as they had hoped! ;)

  22. Too bad that it folded up so quickly, I guess that is the case for many new restaurants... thanks again for pointing out the error with the blog hop badge... Thank you for joining in 'Rurality Blog Hop #1' Hope to see you next Wednesday for #2...

  23. One day they will figure out that eliminating so many parking places is bad for business, duh.
At least you got the shot before the sign is gone.

  24. Great shot! I would love to visit Virginia!

  25. Leave it to Davis is probably right. I thought it was 21, not 24.

How can Madge run another meme? I am exhausted just thinking about all of the work.
