On a recent trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway we met Mr. and Mrs. Hodges of Floyd County. They own Mountain Crest Farm and raise thoroughbreds. They invited us inside the barn to see the horses!
Such a nice, nice couple!

And now something totally irrelevant to this post... Do you still use Google as your search engine? I think I might start using Bing. Google search seems to have gone downhill lately. I was googling the Hodges' farm and Kroger came up in the search. Kroger? Just curious if you've noticed Google search not being as great as it once was.

Terrific photo, Tanya! Love the smiling faces.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is hard to break the "google" habit but I use Bing at work with good results.
How neat! I bet your kids loved that! I loved your comment on my Dogpatch post. We got lost and were way up in the hills and saw a lot of hillbilly shacks. I was a little nervous. We went to the Buffalo RIver on Saturday. It was so pretty!! It was fun to stumble upon Dogpatch USA. It is fascinating!
ReplyDeletewhat a great place to be invited to see!
ReplyDeleteCountry folk can be so nice! Google works fine for me.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to get invited inside the barn. The kids look happy to be there! I have nearly always used Google. It's working for me so far.
ReplyDeleteI won't use bing as it is a product of the evil MS empire. MS is the Monsanto of the computer world.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice looking barn so many are falling down since the advent of rolled hay.
Fabulous shot. So clear, Tanya. I use Google Chrome. Quite like it.
ReplyDeleteNeat! I don't tend to get as good results with bing.
ReplyDeleteFrom the shot inside it looks like a big barn. I use Google mostly but now I have a reason to try out Bing.
ReplyDeleteOi, this is a fantastic shot of barn! Inside it looks so good and these beautiful people give this picture such a beautiful touch! Wonderful! I love this image a lot!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat face of his is just loaded with charm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat barn and how nice of the Hodges to give you guys a tour! Love the smiles on your boys! :)
ReplyDeleteOh this is a great photo look at those smiles. B
ReplyDeleteThe two redheaded kids have wonderful carefree smiles. The world has not yet worn them down. But the man's face shows plenty of character from having had many experiences and having won often enough. Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteI use Google all the time and it is still a marvel.
That's a great picture and how kind of Mr. and Mrs. Hodges to show you around their farm.
ReplyDeletep.s. still using Google but now you've mentioned this I will pay special attention.
ReplyDeleteAwesome smiles!
ReplyDeleteI think farmers are the most generous people. Looks like you had a great time looking around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to be invited inside. I use Bing, better results for me.
ReplyDeletebetsy

ReplyDeleteThis is a SUPERB image!
ReplyDeleteThe location / light and the 3 men.... Just fantastic! I will remember it!!
BRAVO!:)

How neat to get a personal tour!
ReplyDeleteAs for Bing vs. Google -- I have to admit I don't like Bing. It never brings up what I want. Maybe it's me? :)
Looks like a good time was had by all. I've seen Bing, but haven't used it at all.
